YOU CAN CONTROL HOW YOU FEEL THROUGH MOVEMENT.
HERE’S HOW.
For the next 30 seconds:
Shake your right hand intensely.
As fast as you can.
Get wild.
Keep going.
Really shake.
Shake it like a Polaroid picture.
Put a little more energy in to it at the end.
Remember to breathe. Shake for 10 more seconds.
Show off your shaking ability.
One more good shake.
Now, gently cup both hands in front of you, as if you were holding a globe, and feel the difference between your right and left hand. Feel how one hand is stronger and at the same time lighter. Notice how you feel increased energy, vitality, and mental clarity after shaking your right hand for 30 seconds.
The quickest way to feel happiness is to feel.
Feeling exists in the present moment, where emotions refer to the past and fear anticipates the future.
How do you learn how to feel more?
Through the body.
You see,
Your body is where it’s at.
You may only feel slight relief doing these exercises – if so, that’s okay. How much or how quickly you feel better isn’t the first order of business — what matters is that you start to consciously realize that you feel better when you put attention on yourself to move your body. By realizing the power and pleasure of moving your body, you can reclaim more creative control in your daily life. Through movement, you remember you are wise, wild, and free.
