A letter from Rochelle

Thank you for your interest in joining us on this adventure.  I invite you to take this week in April to explore the woman that is Wise, Wild and Free through Qoya.
Our daily schedule begins with Morning Qoya classes to get back into your body.  Qoya is a combination of yoga, dance and sensual movement that explores how a woman’s body wants to move and ultimately how to express your true self through your feminine body.
In the afternoon, we’re off to adventure, either outside in the jungle or ocean or deep into the inner adventure of our heart through resting and relaxing.  The retreat price includes 3 activities and a one hour body massage.   You can choose from surfing, paddle board surfing, horse back riding, kayaking, zip lining or enjoying a river cruise for your activities. To rest, you can go to the beach, get a massage, read by the pool or experience the magical healing powers of a mid-day nap. In the evenings, we’ll gather for ceremonies combining rituals from shamanism and goddess traditions to honor the sacred prayers of gratitude and desire in our lives. There will also be one day off (Wednesday) to explore the town, have a full day to rest or go on your own adventure.  A morning Qoya class will still be offered that day for those who want to do class everyday. The resort offers luxurious accommodations, healing delicious organic food served 3 meals a day and the breath taking beauty of Costa Rica.  As powerful women, we will gather to reflect on our intentions on what we desire to bring from seed to bloom during this spring season.Prices are for 7 nights accommodation, 3 delicious organic meals a day, 3 excursions, one hour massage, daily Qoya sessions and evening rituals.I’m also very excited to be offering an opportunity to learn more about Qoya with the Qoya teacher training.  For an additional $500, learn how to teach this powerful movement sequence to empower other women on their journey of becoming more wise, wild and free.

I look forward to hearing from you and exploring the possibility of taking this amazing adventure together.

With love,

Rochelle

***Here’s a testimonial form one of the women who came to the first Qoya Costa Rica retreat.

Dear Rochelle,
I just arrived home from your incredible Qoya Retreat in Costa Rica yesterday, and I just had to write you. I haven’t been able to stop dancing since I left. Can you believe it? I was so self conscious moving at all the first day, and now I can’t stop! I am so much more fluid and relaxed in my body. Yay! I’ve been doing the “Shake Dance” everyday and loving it! I even started a Qoya playlist so I can dance and play at home!
With the combination of Qoya and the activities you offered in Costa Rica, I busted through my upper limits in so many ways! You are such an amazing teacher and healer. You created a fun, safe, loving and creative space to explore moving our bodies, and I am so grateful. You reminded me of my body’s own wisdom by continually asking us to check in and see what our bodies wanted. I am so used to moving in a linear way from years of working out, and it felt so great to explore moving my body differently. I feel transformed. I’m excited to move to NY so I can come to Qoya classes! The Shamanic Healing sessions that I had with you were also transformative. I have felt stuck for a while now, and the wisdom that came out of our sessions has helped me move out of that place. You are brilliant, and I am blessed to know you.You are so gifted, and I am so excited for you to continue sharing your gorgeous gifts with the world through more Qoya classes, retreats and anything else that you do. I am so, so, so, so glad that I decided to go to your Costa Rica retreat. It was more fun than I ever could have imagined! What an incredible, life-changing experience.I truly feel WISE, WILD and FREE. Thank you.Love,
Mary

Book your flights so that you can be there for  dinner  at 6pm and our opening ceremony on Saturday, April 21st through our last morning together Saturday April 28th, 2012, ending around 1oam.

I personally use kayak.com for my travel searching, but also recommend Jet Blue who just started flying there! Some airlines that offer flights from major US cities into Costa Rica:

TACA www.taca.com 1.800.400.TACA
United www.united.com 1.800.622.1015

Continental www.continental.com 1.800.231.0856
Delta www.delta.com 1.800.241.4141

Air travel within Costa Rica – From San Jose to Nosara:

Travel Documents:

A valid passport allows Canadian, American, as well as most Latin American and European citizens to stay for up to 90 days.

Citizens of other countries may require a visa to enter Costa Rica. Before you go to Costa Rica, please make a copy of your passport, which you will need to carry with you at all times. You should leave your original passport in the safety box at Blue Spirit.

There are no shots or immunizations required to come to Costa Rica.

FLYING IN & OUT OF COSTA RICA
Blue Spirit is situated in Nosara, on the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Depending on your chosen arrival airport in Costa Rica, there are different options to travel onwards to Blue Spirit.

There are two international airports in Costa Rica: Liberia International Airport (LIR) and San Jose International Airport (SJO). Both airports have frequent flights from all over the United States and Canada.

The closest airport to Blue Spirit is LIBERIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LIR). It is only a 2 hours scenic drive from Blue Spirit. Blue Spirit runs group shuttles on Saturdays from / to Liberia Airport.

Currently from the New York City area there are round-trip flights to LIBERIA for $450-$650 (including non-stop on Saturdays on Continental from Newark, NJ). From the west coast the pricing is slightly higher.  Jet Blue also started flying here and they have occasional specials!

SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is an alternative option as sometimes flights from the US or Canada to SAN JOSE can be cheaper or more direct. However, getting to Blue Spirit by road is more costly and takes 4 1/2 hours. An alternative is taking a short plane flight from San Jose to the domestic AIRPORT in NOSARA (the local airport is only 15 minutes from Blue Spirit).

DEPARTURE TAX: There is a departure tax to be paid of $26 at San Jose or Liberia airport when you leave Costa Rica. It can be paid in cash (US$ or costa rican Colones) or with credit card.
